I’m still sick (since last Tuesday.) I finally went to the doctor today and got some meds, so hopefully I’ll kick this soon. I should have stayed home, but I went into work today. Why, you ask? Well because today is the Rebecca Minkoff VIP Sample Sale and no cold, infection or sickness will make me miss that. And I couldn’t go if I didn’t go to work. Partially because that’s wrong, but mostly because my co-workers read my blog. (#honesty)
Anyway, today’s outfit needed to serve as functional when it came to fighting the masses of a sample sale. I started with the pants and worked my way up. I love the idea of mixing primary colors so I went for the denim shirt. It’s not the most fitted shirt and these aren’t the most fitted pants so it needed some definition. I added the striped top and suddenly, I had a waist. If I want to get good deals, I’ll need to roll up my sleeves and get down to business so I styled the top like that to prepare. No arm party today. I’ll need full motion in the wrists for shopping and besides, there were too many colors and layers going on. Loving the matchy, matchy (as I always do) my Mon Mono bag with matching stripe was the obvious choice. Comfortable wedges for easy maneuvering completed the look.
So ladies attending the Rebecca Minkoff sample sale tonight: You know what I look like. If you see me coming – watch out. I may use the coughing method or loud sniffle technique to get you to back off. It’s my secret weapon, at least until the meds kick in…
