As we fly through fall, I wanted to break down my typical cool weather uniform. This outfit uses all the elements, though maybe not the exact pieces that I will be using to create other season-friendly looks with.
Jacket: Just short few weeks to enjoy fall means just a few weeks to enjoy my lighter weight coats. I absolutely love my light-weight faux leather bomber. Chances are if you catch me on the street within the next couple weeks, I’ll be wearing it. It goes with almost everything and this outfit was no exception.
Dress: This dress is fall perfection. Basically a sweatshirt, turned dress – it’s warm, comfortable and adorable (if I don’t say so myself.) This material and other knits are an easy wear and look great with…
Tights: I’m pale, and in the colder months I get very pale. So naturally, I love anything that covers my pale legs. These tights have a linear pattern that make it playful and add a layer of interest to the outfit.
Boots: I fight the cold with boots. And in this case, combat boots. Both functional and fashionable. Here they play nicely to the jacket, really giving the outfit a defined look.
Scarf: From the second the weather cools off, you’ll find me in a scarf. I must own at least 15. This leopard scarf keeps me warm while also being a statement accessory.
Bag: The colder the weather, the bigger my bag. Not exactly sure how the two relate, but in the fall and winter I carry so much extra “stuff” with me. This giant smooshy leather bag can hold everything and the kitchen sink. Its simple shape makes it casual and comfotable for day to day wear.
Accessories: Sunglasses are a must, even after the summer. I love hiding behind aviators. They add an instant cool-factor to any outfit. While my watch, ring and earrings add just the right amount of “bling” to my gray scale getup.
