I admit, I’ve been envious of a trend that I’ve been afraid to try. Socks with heels. I wasn’t sure how to wear it, what to wear it with or if it even looked good. That is until today, when I put on my new floral midi skirt with my quirky green oxford heels. I knew it was time to try the trend. I grabbed a pair of simple black socks that hit at quarter-calf (yes, I’m making up terminology) and when I consulted the mirror, it actually made the outfit. It played to the black top, carrying the color down to the bottom without having to wear (boring) black shoes.
I knew I had the perfect jewelry for this outfit. I picked up two incredible pieces from the Brighton Outlet, at Woodbury Commons, this summer. They do something call a “Garage Sale” where they mark down older pieces up to 80% off. That’s how I got my uber gaudy earrings and matching bracelet for $4.99 each. I love a good arm party, so I mixed it up with some charm and rhinestone bracelets that had all the colors of the skirt in them. Finally, the outfit was completed by my Coach Station bag (seen here) and my trusty Ray Bans.
