Never trust a meteorologist, it can really mess up your wardrobe. I’ve ruined suede shoes in unexpected rain and I’ve been stuck sweating (gross, sorry), in heavy rain boots during perfectly sunny weather. My advice: Check the hourly weather yourself and see what the percentage of precipitation is, before you throw on an outfit.
Today was just another example of that. Weather called for “rain all day”, but I when I checked it was really just a mid-day sprinkle. So I went ahead and wore a “light rain friendly” outfit.
The maxi dress is comfortable and easy to move in, while the patent jeweled flats are nearly waterproof. Playing off the jewels on the shoes I added just a few pieces of bling, as to not compete with the stripes. Though it looks fine without the blazer, let’s be honest, horizontal stripes are hard to pull off. The blazer creates a feminine shape and makes the outfit work and rainy day appropriate.
