I admit, I get probably 50 pieces of junk email/mail a day. But I’m not complaining, I actually brought it upon myself. I always sign up for my favorite store’s mailing lists or free rewards programs, BUT for good reason… COUPONS!
Many stores send you offers in your first e-mail, just for signing up. For example, Bloomingdales.com sends you a 10% coupon upon sign up. Not bad, especially if your cart was already full… of sale items of course!
One of my favorite mailing lists I’m on is DSW. About three times a year, they send me a post card telling me it’s been too long since I’ve shopped there. It’s usually for $25 off a purchase of $49 or more. Last coupon’s purchase was a pair of gold Stuart Weitzman sandals. Regularly $150, on clearance for $50 and paid only $26 with my coupon!
Then there’s Loehmann’s. Sign up for their Insider Rewards and on your birthday then send you a 15% your entire purchase coupon, good on anything in the store (including clearance, which ALWAYS has something good.) That’s how I scored a pair of wide leg Juicy Couture jeans for just $14. (Bragging? Maybe a little…)
Tempted to sign up, but don’t want more mail? Don’t feel like you have to read every email to find the deal. You’ll know just from the subject if there’s a good coupon inside. Some stores I’ve signed up for are a total bust. If I don’t receive coupons within 1-2 weeks of signing up, I unsubscribe. It’s not worth the additional clutter in my mailbox.
What’s your favorite coupon sending e-mail list? I’m sure there’s a good one that I haven’t found yet. Comment below and share!
